i couldn’t have said it better meself. 

and for you elected gop politicians who have lost your way…. take notes.

after friday’s event in which the gop had the lights turned off on them, mics cut, and the c-span camera’s pulled (because they wanted an up or down vote regarding the energy drill bill instead of going on summer break) the young turks in the gop have vowed to continue the revolt all week long against pelosi and her absent party.  finally! 

is it not amazing that comrade pelosi is not calling for a vote on a comprehensive energy bill when she herself wants to save the planet?    simply double speak.

republicans got their message out on friday via twitter, the blogosphere, talk radio, and grumbly MSM types who derided the upstart effort as “bizarre.”

one of the great moments of the revolt was this: 

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) just pretended to be a Democrat. He stood on the other side of the chamber and listed all of the GOP bills that the Dems killed.

He then said, “I am a Democrat, and here is my energy plan” and he held up a picture of an old VW Bug (correction: readers are telling me it’s an Isetta) with a sail attached to it. He paraded around the House floor with the sign while the crowd cheered.

so the revolt is continuing today on the house floor.  and it’s not good political theater although immensely delicious to hear about; it’s good politics.  politics on offense — something the gop hasn’t had in a while.

UPDATE:  nancy pelosi won’t let you see what’s happening at the capital but thanks to youtube, here’s a glimpse.  don’t forget to call your representative and the president and let them know how great this is and to keep up the pressure!
