have you seen this?  its the obama acceptance speech credentials badge for anyone planning on seeing the speech in person in denver. 

talk about goofy obama gaffes:

People on the street say with the stars and blue field in the lower left corner, it looks like an upside down American flag. Published flag etiquette states the stars should always be displayed in the upper left corner. An upside down flag represents an international symbol of extreme distress.

Matt Chandler with the Obama campaign says the flag is not upside down. He says it is a stylized flag designed to blend the stars on Senator Obama’s shirt with the flag blowing in the wind.

um, looks like a flag blowing in the wind upside-down.  the dncc would not even admit they used a flag:

“The DNCC community credentials incorporate patriotic design elements. They do not depict an actual American flag. The DNCC has full and complete respect for the flag and all rules of display.”

whatevah howard “the screamer” dean.  flying a flag upside down is a distress signal.  creating a graphic for a presidential campaign that includes an upside-down flag is a signal of a different kind — that the dncc needs better management and that obambi is feeling a little less “glow-y” these days. 

or maybe they were just recycling old ideas….

we all remember john ‘reporting-for-duty’ kerry don’t we?

this is what happens when politicians get kid glove treatment from the media. when a real reporter finally asks a legitimate question, they can’t handle it.

get it together obambi.  it’s not all about big adoring crowds, lovely magazine covers and leather chairs that say “president.”  you wanted this gig remember?

obambi grew up in hawaii so you’d think the dark days of pearl harbor would be in his dna somewhere right?  well another gaffe rolled off his tongue when speaking in indiana this week on national security no less.  here is the video and the pearl harbor comment is in the first couple of minutes:

a BOMB didn’t drop on pearl, a whole slew of them did as wave upon wave of over 300 japanese aircraft raided our base and in essence our pacific fleet.  by the time it was over, more then 2,300 were killed and about that many injured.  the threat however wasn’t just a “raid” but rather losing the entire pacific to the japanese. 

this is just another example of his superficiality and his willingness to use significant historical places like brandenburg gate and now pearl harbor and historical events like liberating concentration camps without fully understanding what they mean to us as a nation – he can’t even get details correct!
 
considering his propensity for “misunderstanding history” and “re-inventing his stance on policies” maybe his upcoming “rock tour” to europe and the middle east could be fun to watch after all.
