blood, sweat & fear: jack vs chuck

chuck norris told jack bauer that he only killed 15 people cause he ran out of bullets.  jack told him he only killed 93 because he ran out of people….

ok so humor me.  its the weekend and yes besides politics, i have a thing about aliens, zombies, tin foil hats and jack bauer.  i can’t explain it and don’t you try. 

so what is this jack vs chuck talk all about?  well this is what i know:  jack bauer is way better then chuck norris because he has the same initials as james bond and jason bourne.  and chuck?  well, he has the same initials as chris noth.  who?  exactly.   :P

and if that wasn’t enough for you to make up your mind in the jack vs chuck phenomena, how about this one:  jack bauer is efficient.  he can take down an entire terrorist network in 24 hours. from nuclear bombs to sentox nerve gas, he needs just one day. norris needed years, not to mention several sequels, to free our Vietnam POWs.   jack would have NEVER supported huckabee.  and jack is so amazing, 39% of Americans believe he is real!

tick…tick…tick…

ok maybe i am daydreaming a bit because it’s friday but i was thinking that in this incredibly bizarre primary season, maybe what we really need is a whole new candidate…

if you are a big fan of 24 like i am, check out Jack Bauer for President: Terrorism and Politics in 24.  it is a compilation of essays “using our current political climate to enrich viewers’ experience of 24.”

This book addresses how much of the show is realistic and what it has to say about modern politics and foreign policy in America’s fight against terrorism. Essays look at issues including the show’s images of terrorism, the ethics and effectiveness of the characters’ counterterrorism practices, the portrayal of government and politics on the show, whether it takes a terrorist to fight a terrorist, how much “the people” have a right to know in life-threatening circumstances, and how effective we really want our heroes to be.

oh and a blatherings “extra”  for my fellow 24 afficionados who have watched since season 1…. 

if Jack Bauer was in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and Nina Myers, and he had a gun with 2 bullets, he’d shoot Nina twice.  i love that one and check out blogs 4 bauer for “all things jack”.

he’s out

just as a side note:  jack bauer aka kiefer sutherland is out of jail after doing 48 days for a 2nd dui conviction.  that seems like an incredible amount of time served considering all the bimbos who served just a few minutes — britney spears and nicole richie just to name 2. 

 

actually maybe its just the right time served when you consider it was driving drunk.
