president bush, remember him?

“President Bush talks with Andrea Duran and head coach Mike Candrea as he visits the practice of the U.S. women’s softball team at the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing, China Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert)”

The Anchoress was saying,

You remember Bush, right?
The guy who goes to Asia and tells China to free her people, while the press jeers, the guy who, while in Asia also meets with Democracy Activists in Burma and gets ignored for it, the guy who drew enormous and supportive crowds in Korea, while the American press yawned?

Sure, you remember Bush!
He’s the guy whose life was threatened along with Barack Obama’s but only the threat to Obama was newsworthy for a very long time at CNN. Bush? You mean the creepy moron who will be charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity as soon as congress can figure out how to do that without exposing itself or having to put some of its own members under oath?

Yeah, that guy! The guy who does more than just talk about freedom and progress. The guy who has brought real hope and change to people all over the world, and yes, here in America. But you don’t want to hear it. It’s the wrong and inconvenient narrative, the embargoed one.

i couldn't have said it better myself.

scott mcclellan: no class whatsoever

i wonder how scott mcclellan, the worst press secretary in the history of the press operation at the White House feels this morning after throwing his former boss and lifelong friend -- the one who trusted him with one of the most powerful jobs in the country -- under the bus for a few bucks?

here's president bush on scott's last day on the job at the white house.  it looks like scott  *coughjudascough*  is getting ready to kiss him on the cheek doesn't it?

here are just a couple of reviews on scott's book:

the ny daily news:

"Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan has blasted his old boss, saying President Bush failed to be "open and forthright on Iraq" and relied on "propaganda" to sell the war.

McClellan's take on the Bush administration comes in a surprisingly scathing tell-all memoir, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," to be published next week, Politico.com reports."

the politico:

"Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan writes in a surprisingly scathing memoir to be published next week that President Bush "veered terribly off course," was not “open and forthright on Iraq,” and took a "permanent campaign approach" to governing at the expense of candor and competence."

while at the podium, scott always looked like a deer in headlights to me and i am sure to others.  he was so terrible at his job, i guess he needs some sort of excuse other than "gross incompetence" in order to ever work again.  and i think history will ignore his betrayal book and recognize that scott mcclellan was simply way over his head -- too small for such a big job.  ari fleischer before him and the terrific tony snow after him really emphasized what a dope scott really is.

you obviously left with a smile on your face but incredible anger and spite seething underneath.  so pile on scott.  i guess in some strange way this finally gives you credibility and certainly some solidarity with the left who ate your lunch on a daily basis.  to us on the right, you simply have no class.

freedom's dance party!

alt : http://www.reuters.com/resources/flash/includevideo.swf?edition=US&videoId=76613
isn't this fun?  it's great to have a president, though so attacked here at home, that can have such fun a continent away.   just one of the many reasons i like president bush!

in places where freedom is taken for granted, our president and our troops are not received with joy.  but in places like africa where liberty is still longed for and prized, the story is really quite different.  people who have lived under the jackboot of tyranny do not see a swaggering cowboy, a frat boy, a stutterer, a war monger... rather they see someone very different.  a stalwart defender of freedoms.  and they dance.  and he dances with them.

and just because its friday...

here's one of my favorite pics of 43 just because i know the looney left wingers hate it so.  :P

oh lovely.  another "incredible" vid...  yikes.

kennedy esta loca en la cabeza!
