a historic primary ends...

so the democrats pick a far-left, inexperienced candidate with marxist roots and his pastor-mentor-father figure is a black liberation theologian who hates America and whitey.

and his wife who would be our first lady?  a tragically ungrateful, angry, and bitter woman.

in a year when the presidency was being offered to them on a silver platter by a disgruntled and war-weary nation...and after 56 hard-fought primary/caucus contests, they just nominated their weakest candidate.

the hero-worship of obama from the far-left has helped to push him past what this time last year looked like a virtual coronation of hillary.

so how will the republicans respond in the next 6 months?  by using democrats' own words and own leaders against this candidate.

democrats you're ready for hope and change?   then you better start hoping for a miracle that obama and his bitter half change for the better if you expect them to be elected in November.  and save the hero-worship for people who actually deserve it, like our military.

egads.

UPDATE:  today (6/5/08) one of my cotillion sisters - caltechgirl - penned a "letter to America" regarding this democratic primary.  go check it out because it's a really good blog and sums up the way many feel.   and hey, she's providing the popcorn.

1 - Zoey you aren't bitter yourself are you? Now now. Drink the McCain koolaid and you will feel alot better. You Republicans need to start getting use to having things different now. And you also need to quit glorifying war. Everytime I come on you have something about war. Geez give it a rest.

2 - hey jr thanks for the comment. no i am not bitter -- i'll save that title for michelle obama. i admit i am not super happy with the republican candidate john mccain but i have resigned myself to being concerned this election cycle about just a couple of issues in which he and i agree: the scotus and war on terror. now, i do want to say i do not glorify war... i hate war and what it does. however i do glorify the american soldier. they are heroes. they are brave and they are amazing. because of them you and i are free. you can be as crabby and narcissistic as you want. so there ya go. (Comment this)

3 - Zoey isn't bitter...nor does she glorify war. Zoey is proud of the services and sacrifices the people of the armed forces have done for this country. Most people in the US know at least one person who has fought in a war. How can one not acknowledge their gratitude for them?

Zoey...I don't know what to do! I don't really like any of the candidates. I think I have a big trust issue with everyone and the actual election process. "For the people, by the people, and of the people..." has been narrowed down to super-delegates that I didn't even know existed until now.

4 - YOU REPUBLICANS, that cracks me up. JR, one does not have to glorify the war to be proud of the very men and women that gives you the freedom to post on this very blog. Drink the koolaid, I snorted. From DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS, keep up the good work Zoey, I so enjoy your site! (Comment this)
