roosting chickens and a bag of chips!

in response to the rev. wright buffoonery at the national press club on monday, obama made this statement at his own press conference yesterday:  "Rev. Wright does not speak for me. He doesn’t speak for our campaign. I can’t prevent him from making these outrageous remarks…When I say I find these statements appalling, I mean it…Makes me angry and saddens me.”  “The person I saw was not the person that I’d come to know over 20 years…Shocked me, surprised me.”

the clips of these quotes are here.

but wait!  there is indeed more.  thanks to ALa at blonde sagacity  for the following...

"...The Rev. Jeremiah Wright would be happy to see Barack Obama's presidential campaign derailed because the pastor is fuming that his former congregant has "betrayed" their 20-year relationship,

The Post has learned. "After 20 years of loving Barack like he was a member of his own family, for Jeremiah to see Barack saying over and over that he didn't know about Jeremiah's views during those years, that he wasn't familiar with what Jeremiah had said, that he may have missed church on this day or that and didn't hear what Jeremiah said, this is seen by Jeremiah as nonsense and betrayal," said the source, who has deep roots in Wright's Chicago community and is familiar with his thinking on the matter."
The New York Post

all that and a bag of chips. *snap*

1 - Didn't we all pretty much think this was going to happen? I mean no one sits in a church for 20 years and are not aware of what happens: the culture of the church, the life of the church, the shenannigans of the Pastor. I guess we all need to pull up a chair and get cozy because I imagine this is still not over. (Comment this)

2 - This is becoming really personal now between these 2 - like a family schism. We almost need some comic relief from Michelle just to liven things up!

3 - Even with all of this coming out, I don't think Obama will be denied the nomination. I have read a few articles today noting how tired the Obama's are and how disconnected Obama may be coming. Sounds to me like they need a break from the campaign. And it also sounds like Rush's Operation Chaos really has a chance now. (Comment this)

5 - Let me go out on a limb here and say that sHillary will be the democratic nominee. And John McCain will be elected the next US President. Obama just doesn't have the stamina or the staying power to withstand all the backstories that surround him since he's so unknown to the country. Nice blog btw. First time visitor.
