crybabies

of course we all knew they would cry like babies when their candidates were actually asked meaningful and relevant questions at last nights' democratic presidential debate rather then the usual stupid  “do you prefer diamonds or pearls?” non-questions they get.

was it our fault or ABC's fault that hillary and obama stumbled badly on questions regarding their own truthfulness, their own integrity, their own character?

it was not hillary or obama's finest hour.  if you missed the debate, which had an audience of about 10 million, michelle malkin had a terrific live blog you can review here.

after 12 different nationally-televised democratic debates and the lack of policy differences on most topics, what did they think ABC would do -- ask ridiculous questions more suitable for mtv?  to ignore the huge controversies (bosnia, rev. wright, bittergate) that have erupted between the candidates in the last two months would have been ridiculously irresponsible even for a tired, old media.

1 - The best part of the whole thing is when the two were asked: if they had to choose a running mate right now, would they choose their opponent? I've never seen such awkward, dumb smiles. (Comment this)

2 - If Obama can't take the heat now in debates, he will be crushed by McCain in the fall.

3 - Of all the three network news stations, ABC is by far my favorite. To me they are the least biased.

I missed the debate but read the transcripts. They were both horrible, but particularly Obama. He's toast in November. (Comment this)

5 - Zoey there you go again stacking the deck against Obama. He will be the next president... you need to reconcile your self to it and move on to something about fashion or makeup. The debate was great. Both of our candidates did an amazing job and Obama will be last man standing of the 3.

6 - While we can argue over what's relevant, ultimately, we each choose what that is, so Alan, et al, are likely fighting a losing battle in trying to claim these issues aren't. I'm not sure where I stand on the degree of relevancy of Wright, Ayers, etc.
