where is my waterboard?

see these guys?  TERRORISTS including the mastermind of 9/11 (the stupid-looking hairy one in the bottom L corner).

currently they are being held at Gitmo and are being charged by the Pentagon with murder and war crimes in connection with everything that happened on Sept. 11th.  their's will be the first trials under the "terrorism-era" military tribunal system.  the military is recommending that they be tried together and they are seeking the death penalty.  the original rules for these tribunals were considered "mean and cruel" (no appeals, statements under torture allowed, behind closed doors) by many liberals and human-shield types in our country who screamed loudly and sued mightily.

after review, the SCOTUS struck the original tribunal plan down in '06 and congress - yes congress - gave the Pentagon new guidelines for the tribunals, including new rights to the terrorists.

the terrorists now get the same rights as us soldiers tried under the military justice system including the right to remain silent, call witnesses, and know the evidence against them. their appeals can go all the way to the SCOTUS.

officials plan to hold the trial in a specially constructed court at Gitmo that will allow lawyers, journalists and some others to be present, but leave relatives of Sept. 11 victims and others to watch the trial through closed-circuit broadcasts.

be prepared for months and months of loud outcries by the international community because we are seeking the death penalty on these creeps.  also be prepared to hear more grumbles on the fact that some of these guys were waterboarded and "coerced".

unbelievable.

at the risk of being unkind, lets just give them the plan of salvation and then kill them.

1 - What does a person have to do in/to this country to get free cancer screenings and dental care? I think our Gitmo detainees figured it out. No, this is not funny. Very unfair and not funny. But it's the truth. (Comment this)

3 - I agree about the killing part. The argument that we become them if we extract payback by using waterboarding, death penalty, etc is ridiculous. It is called JUSTICE. The far left in this country is so FRENCH and close to ruining our moral authority --- I can say this because I am a Democrat.

5 - These guys should have been killed on the spot in the rats nest they were found in. You don't have to be a Republican or a Democrat to know that.

6 - Guantanamo should be closed. We need to bring those held there into our judicial system ASAP. Keeping human beings in limbo for this long is a crime in itself. Who really are the animals here? (Comment this)

7 - hi anonymous. thanks for visiting my blog. um, i am concerned that you are having trouble distinguishing between terrorists and 3,000 innocent americans who got up, kissed their loved ones goodbye, and went to work for the day.
there really is NO QUESTION as to who the animals are here. take care. (Comment this)

8 - zoey, unfortunately innocence is something biblically noone can claim, but justice is something we can claim, in the end the one we stand on is righteous, the rest of us deserve, well what the bible says, death, our goodness is as filthy rags beofre the LORD, but that doesn't mean that when people break the commandments that we let them get away with it. Accountability is a must, they need to face consequences, and we need to be thankfull for grace, that we know the difference between right and wrong and have been given the integrity to honor it. Pray for their souls. (Comment this)

9 - hi anonymous. as stated numerous times on my blog, i am not a theologian. when i said "innocent" americans, i was speaking to the fact that they did nothing to deserve the treatment of the terrorists. i was not speaking of the condition of their soul or from a strict scriptural point of view. (Comment this)

10 - Hey Anonymous. I hope you are not equating us with terrorists? The last time I looked, they were possessed with the desire to murder us all. They have murder in their hearts against anyone who isn't a part of their "peace loving" religion. Don't compare me and my innocents to theirs. God might not be happy with me when I cuss and drink but God is definately not happy with them when they murder, kill, destroy, and annialate I am sure.
