35 years -- an update

yesterday was the 35th anniversary of the March for Life in Washington DC.  here is a picture from the actual march.  thousands participated and no coverage of any note in the mainstream media....  no surprise.

1 - It is unfortunate that the MSM perennially underreports the March for Life, and now seem to have taken to ignoring it altogether. In past years they drew criticism for underreporting the number of people they said were at the March. CNN's web site has only posted Pro-Choice editorials for over 5 years.

Nevertheless, both in Washington, and at smaller protests around the country, Pro-Life activists have braved bitter cold temperatures and stood up for life, a testament of hope for the future.

McCain promised at the March that Pro-Life advocates could count on him as an ally. While McCain has bucked the Pro-Life crowd on peripheral issues such as campaign finance reform and Medicare coverage, as well as on central issues such as embryonic stem cell research funding, he has generally been a consistent vote for life, has criticized Roe v. Wade, and would likely put up Constitutionalist or "strict constructionist" judges. Pro-Lifers would certainly like to hear more about his judicial philosophy though and who he would put up. (Comment this)

2 - Noonan, i agree. frankly i would like to hear from all the gop contenders about their judicial stand. we know rudy has promised judges in the mold of scalia and alito but the others? the judges are the big deal for me seeing how we will have most like 3 new ones during the next administration. (Comment this)

3 - EWTN Catholic brodcasting was the only place covering this amazing march.

They will have another encore broadcast the 26th at 1 pm eastern. Watching this for 5 hours convicts us from our heated living rooms. (Comment this)
