osama sends israel a birthday card!

that cave dwellin' lice infested osama bin laden took time out of his busy schedule to wish Israel a happy 60th birthdaylaura mansfield has the new video that you can download.

the Times Now reported:

Osama bin Laden vowed in an audio tape timed to coincide with Israel's 60th anniversary to continue to fight the Jewish state and its allies in the West.

Bin Laden has placed growing emphasis on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in recent pronouncements.

He said it was at the heart of the Muslim battle with the West and an inspiration to the 19 bombers who carried out the attacks on U.S. cities on Sept. 11, 2001. "We will continue, God permitting, the fight against the Israelis and their allies ... and will not give up a single inch of Palestine as long as there is one true Muslim on earth," the leader of al Qaeda said in the latest message, posted on an Islamist website on Friday (May 16).

He said Israel's anniversary celebrations were a reminder that it did not exist 60 years ago, and had been established on land seized from Palestinians by force. "This is evidence that Palestine is our land, and the Israelis are invaders and occupiers who should be fought," he said.

The Saudi-born militant noted that decades of peace initiatives had failed to establish a Palestinian state, and said the West sided with Israel. "The participation of Western leaders with the Jews in this [anniversary] celebration confirms that the West backs this Jewish occupation of our land, and that they stand in the Israeli corner against us," he said. "They proved this in practice by sending their forces to southern Lebanon."

He also said Western media had over the years painted Israelis as victims, and the Palestinians who had been displaced from their land as terrorists.
all these years living in a dark dank cave, eating grubs, and looking over your shoulder for the clandestine US commandos to come kick your sorry loser butt has finally taken a toll on you osama.  the israelis have never been a victim class even when a victim.  they are tough, decisive, and take action when needed without counsulting jessie jackson, the aclu, or even the moonbats at the KOS

happy 60th birthday Israel!  stand tall.  we stand with you.

my silky pony

well silky pony is back and he is prancing for obama!  woot!

here's the report from the AP:

Democrat John Edwards endorsed former rival Barack Obama on Wednesday, a move designed to help solidify support for the party's likely presidential nominee even as Hillary Rodham Clinton refuses to give up her long-shot candidacy.

Edwards made a surprise appearance with Obama in Grand Rapids, Mich., as the Illinois senator campaigns in a critical general election battleground state.

The endorsement came a day after Clinton defeated Obama by more than 2-to-1 in the West Virginia primary. The loss highlighted Obama's challenge in winning over the "Hillary Democrats" — white, working-class voters who also supported Edwards in significant numbers before he exited the race in late January.

Edwards, who received a thunderous ovation when Obama introduced him to a crowd of several thousand, said, "brothers and sisters, we must come together as Democrats" to defeat McCain. "We are here tonight because the Democratic voters have made their choice, and so have I."
oh really?  an edwards endorsement seems to pull more of the far left leaning loons --- a camp that obama already owns.  silky did significant damage to the blue collar base that he tried to claim by his own hypocritical lifestyle.   but it is fun to see silky pony ride again because it gives me the opportunity to play one of my favorite classic vids.  so grab your popcorn and turn up the sound!

silky hearts obambi... all for 19 delegates.

a life well lived

this is Irena Sendler.  she died monday in Warsaw, Poland at the age of 98.  read her story, then let's talk...

Saviour of Warsaw Ghetto children dies

WARSAW (Reuters) - Irena Sendler, a Polish woman who saved thousands of Jewish children during World War Two by smuggling them out of the Warsaw Ghetto, died in the Polish capital on Monday after a long illness, local media said.

Israel's Holocaust remembrance authority, Yad Vashem, said in a statement that it mourned her death.

The web portal of Poland's leading daily, Gazeta Wyborcza, said Sendler, 98, died in Plocka Street hospital early on Monday. The hospital declined to comment on the report.

Yad Vashem chairman Avner Shalev said: "Irena Sendler's courageous activities rescuing Jews during the Holocaust serve as a beacon of light to the world, inspiring hope and restoring faith in the innate goodness of mankind."

Using her position as a social worker, Sendler regularly entered the ghetto, smuggling around 2,500 children out in boxes, suitcases or hidden in trolleys.

The children were then placed with Polish families outside the ghetto, created by Nazi Germany in 1940 for the city's half a million strong Jewish population, and given new identities.

But in 1943 Sendler, who led the children' section of the Zegota organisation which helped Jews during the war, was arrested and tortured by the Gestapo.

She only escaped execution when Zegota managed to bribe some Nazi officials, who left her unconscious but alive with broken legs and arms in the woods.

"People who stand up for others, for the weak, are very rare. The world would have been a better place if there were more of them," Marek Edelman, the last surviving commander of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, said on national television.

His sentiments were echoed by former Polish President Lech Walesa as well as religious leaders.

Sendler was honoured with Israeli Yad Vashem Righteous Among the Nations medal in 1965 for her actions, and later made an honorary Israeli citizen.
dear Irena Sendler knew what it meant to look death in the eye for the sake of others --- and most assuredly knew real fear.   but she did not tire, she did not falter, and she did not fail.  after the escape from prison, she assumed a new identity and continued her work of saving the lives of jewish children from certain death at the hands of the Nazi's.

she was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize last year but, despite her bravery, she denied she was a hero.  she said this in one of her last interviews:  "The term 'hero' irritates me greatly. The opposite is true. I continue to have pangs of conscience that I did so little."

she didn't win that Nobel Peace Prize but if she had, it would have been the first time a nobel prize was awarded in connection to the holocaust. (haaretz.com)  Al Gore won instead of Irena.

such a magnificent face and such a magnificent life.

obamacan... not

a ridiculously far-left loony website did a contest for campaign ads recently called "obama in 30 seconds."   i saw the winning ad called "obamacan" on their site about a republican who is now an obamacan (supporter of obama).  of course!  how original!   right.  same old blah, blah, blah.

i have no doubt that obamacans exist.  i just want to see their prior voting histories....  :P

so anyway, while i was temporarily in satan's lair, i saw some of the other entries that won noteable mentions.  i kindof thought this one was pretty original!  it's the winner for "funniest ad" and the talent is Alexandra Barreto, Rider Strong and Shiloh Strong from LA.  its called "it could happen to you."   and mccain folks?  take notes.  get a better pr campaign going!

alt : http://www.youtube.com/v/Vn55ZdmBPJ4&rel=0

and because i don't want nasty emails, yes i did fumigate upon my return to the light.  and obamacans?  mccain is still gonna kick barry's booty in november.

for me it's all about the judges

i am a firm supporter of the war on terror which i believe includes the war in iraq.  and my regular readers know that Senator John McCain was not my first choice in the race for the presidential nomination.  but i feel satisfied that he will serve as a solid commander-in-chief with the highest regard for our nation and our beloved military men and women.

i disagree with some of his policy stances.  his immigration ideas, his view on campaign finance, his newly emerging global warming views, and the way he seems to work better with those on the other side of the aisle rather then his own has given me heartburn upon occasion.  but i understand that the president’s role on policy is constrained to the bully pulpit, and his use (or non use) of the veto pen.

confident that the war on terror will be fought with determination in a mccain administration, it's all about the presidential power of appointments - particularly judicial appointments - for me.

in a recent speech at Wake Forest University McCain expressed a clear understanding of the role of the judiciary and the importance of having a president who will nominate men and women that understand that role.

"For decades now, some federal judges have taken it upon themselves to pronounce and rule on matters that were never intended to be heard in courts or decided by judges. With a presumption that would have amazed the framers of our Constitution, and legal reasoning that would have mystified them, federal judges today issue rulings and opinions on policy questions that should be decided democratically. Assured of lifetime tenures, these judges show little regard for the authority of the president, the Congress, and the states. They display even less interest in the will of the people. And the only remedy available to any of us is to find, nominate, and confirm better judges.

Quite rightly, the proper role of the judiciary has become one of the defining issues of this presidential election. It will fall to the next president to nominate hundreds of qualified men and women to the federal courts, and the choices we make will reach far into the future."

there is no doubt that potential nominations from Sen. McCain would be quite different than those put forth by either Obama or Hillary.

"For both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton, it turned out that not even John Roberts was quite good enough for them. Senator Obama in particular likes to talk up his background as a lecturer on law, and also as someone who can work across the aisle to get things done. But when Judge Roberts was nominated, it seemed to bring out more the lecturer in Senator Obama than it did the guy who can get things done. He went right along with the partisan crowd, and was among the 22 senators to vote against this highly qualified nominee. And just where did John Roberts fall short, by the Senator’s measure? Well, a justice of the court, as Senator Obama explained it — and I quote — should share “one’s deepest values, one’s core concerns, one’s broader perspectives on how the world works, and the depth and breadth of one’s empathy.”

These vague words attempt to justify judicial activism — come to think of it, they sound like an activist judge wrote them. And whatever they mean exactly, somehow Senator Obama’s standards proved too lofty a standard for a nominee who was brilliant, fair-minded, and learned in the law, a nominee of clear rectitude who had proved more than the equal of any lawyer on the Judiciary Committee, and who today is respected by all as the Chief Justice of the United States. Somehow, by Senator Obama’s standard, even Judge Roberts didn’t measure up. And neither did Justice Samuel Alito. Apparently, nobody quite fits the bill except for an elite group of activist judges, lawyers, and law professors who think they know wisdom when they see it — and they see it only in each other."

Justices Alito and Roberts are a tremendous asset to the SCOTUS.  to have been found lacking by Obama and Clinton is egregious.  so you see, it is this very critical presidential power that can not be over looked, or over emphasized.  and it is this very presidential power that concerns me most about Clinton and Obama.

blood, sweat & fear: jack vs chuck

chuck norris told jack bauer that he only killed 15 people cause he ran out of bullets.  jack told him he only killed 93 because he ran out of people....

ok so humor me.  its the weekend and yes besides politics, i have a thing about aliens, zombies, tin foil hats and jack bauer.  i can't explain it and don't you try.

so what is this jack vs chuck talk all about?  well this is what i know:  jack bauer is way better then chuck norris because he has the same initials as james bond and jason bourne.  and chuck?  well, he has the same initials as chris noth.  who?  exactly.   :P

and if that wasn't enough for you to make up your mind in the jack vs chuck phenomena, how about this one:  jack bauer is efficient.  he can take down an entire terrorist network in 24 hours. from nuclear bombs to sentox nerve gas, he needs just one day. norris needed years, not to mention several sequels, to free our Vietnam POWs.   jack would have NEVER supported huckabee.  and jack is so amazing, 39% of Americans believe he is real!

still not totally convinced?  watch this:

alt : http://www.youtube.com/v/GenXxnAKTsU&hl=en&rel=0&color1=0x402061&color2=0x9461ca&border=1

so there you go.  jack makes chuck cry like a girl.  hurry back jack.

pink pointy hats

those pink moonbats have outdone themselves this time!  the ridiculous hags of code pink are now, in desperation, casting spells on the Marines they have been protesting in Berkeley for eons now.

they say this is simply a recruitment effort to increase their numbers of supporters protesting Berkeley's controversial Marine Corp Recruitment Center - Semper Fi!

the women's anti-war group has told ralliers to come equipped with spells and pointy hats *coughpublicitygimmickcough* today for "Witches, Clowns and Sirens Day" -- the last of the group's weeklong "homage" to Mother's Day.  oh please!

head moonbat for code pink in the bay area, Zanne Sam Joi told FOXNEWS "women are coming to cast spells and do rituals and to impart wisdom to figure out how we're going to end war."

this week has been full of pink-themed protests in honor of Mother's Day which included days to "galvanize grannies" and the ever popular "bring-your-junior-female-moonbat-to-protest" day.  these however didn't do much to boost their lowering numbers.  *smirk*

recruiter Capt. John Paul Wheatcroft said he's unfazed by code pink's antics.  "They're always in pink and wear funny things, half-shaved heads, one side with hair and the other one bald, yeah, I'm pretty much used to anything." he told FOXNEWS.

for some fun click here to watch a FOXNEWS "protest" cam stationed at the scene to catch any action by those wild and crazy moonbats in pink!

h/t to zombie as always for such delicious pictures!

UPDATE:  can the space around these moonbats get any more bizarro?  it seems Chris F. a "pagan" and 12 yr. armed forces veteran is appalled at the pink coven's recent activities.  he said, "These Code Twit girls are so full of it, it’s ridiculous. I’m half tempted to sue them for religious slander and a hate crime against pagans for acting like such idiots."

dem veep stakes

obama & clinton in '08.  is this dream team or just a bad dream?  this won't happen.  especially since one of the best jokes around is obama better employ a trusted food taster if he picks her for his veep!  here are my thoughts ...

obama's take:  well obama seems quite put out with hillary for a variety of reasons including the fact that he has had the nomination locked up for weeks (i guess he doesn't like end runs!).  he also hates that he should be asked tough questions about his associations like every other candidate (republicans), i mean after all is he not the messiah? obama is also put out that hillary has also played the race card against him numerous times which he thinks is one of the reasons his numbers with white males is in the toity.  and really, he thinks, how can he be a racist??  he's black for gosh sakes!  *coughSHARPTONcough*  *coughJACKSONcough*

hillary's take:  she can't believe this upstart rookie has actually taken THE PRIZE away from her and prevented the clampetts oops i mean clintons from going back where they belong: the White House.  it was to be her coronation after all -- remember?  and then there was that little dust up with bill in south carolina...  i am sure she feels that obama's people are to blame for the loss of respect and esteem for the former president.

but wait!  the flipside?  there is "my precious" -- the gold ring -- the allure of power, history, legacy.  ok the vice presidency.  sometimes this is like the balm of gilead soothing wounds and making the impossible, possible.  click here to see what that sear of ABC politics, george stephanopolis thinks.

so the upshot is the only way obama will put hillary on the ticket is if it was determined he couldn't beat mccain without her.  period.

the best gift for obama would be that obligatory pic of the 2 of them together -- once bitter rivals -- now hands clasped and raised in unity at the convention in denver.  blech.

he'll most likely get that pic.  once he's the official nominee, there will be a hard court press to pull the 2 sides together.  expect clinton's more prominent supporters, like ed rendell, to have prime time speaking slots during the convention.  i also imagine that some clinton staffers will be given high profile positions in obama's campaign as well.  everything will be done to present a totally unified party...

...except making hillary the veep.

the republican players for veep coming soon!

freedom really isn't free

can you help?

my new friend and Cotillion member, Jane Novak, blogs passionately about the corruption of the Yemeni government at her blog, the Armies of Liberation.  she is also a contributor at the Jawa Report.  as we all know, the government of Yemen has little or no regard for human rights, democratic principles, and freedom for their people.  they actively suppress journalists who seek to uncover and promote truth.

her post today is compelling and calls us all to action.  it's about a prominent pro-democracy journalist in Yemen who is facing a jail sentence again for simply printing the truth, and speaking his mind.

Renowned journalist Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani is one of Yemen's most prominent democracy advocates - for which he has paid a steep price. His paper has been closed, his website blocked, and his children threatened. He is now due to be sentenced on May 21 for "insulting the president" and "demoralizing the military."

During his arrest in June of 2007, Al-Khaiwani was beaten and his six-year-old daughter slapped unconscious. While released on bail in August, Al-Khaiwani was kidnapped and tortured by thugs who threatened his life if he continued to write about Yemen's president.

you can help Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani by clicking on the widget in my sidebar over there --->> or going here.

let freedom ring... even in Yemen.

the audacity of convenience

ok. so many politicians lie.  and when they do, its usually for convenience sake.  but numbers don't lie.  a recent rasmussen poll showed a majority of likely voters think the only reason that barack obama finally denounced reverend jeremiah wright was because it was politically convenient.

well, ya think??

the same poll shows 56 % think that it's somewhat likely that he shares some of rev. wright's controversial views about the US.  26% say it's very likely.

so what's the point?  barack obama has invalidated his entire campaign.  from day one of his candidacy, he wanted us to think that he was different; that he's a washington outsider' that he's not going to play politics as usual.  "I'm a fresh face that we can trust."  now it's quite clear he's part of the problem, not the solution.

we all know for 20 years, obama sat in rev. wright's church.  he listened to his sermons.  he had wright perform his marriage ceremony, baptize his kids, bless his home.  obama even appointed this guy as an official spiritual adviser to his campaign, a "sounding board" as he called it.  cough*clangingsymbols*  you've heard all of this -- i've blogged all of this.

it only took you and me a couple of weeks to recognize the racist, angry, anti-american hate speech in all of those sermons that obama sat through -- like a sponge? --for 2 decades!  all along, obama kept saying, "That's not the guy I know."

say wut?

last week, reverend wright went out of his way to prove that he IS the man he's always been: 20 years ago, last week, and today.  when it was obvious that nobody was really buying into obama's story anymore, he decided that it was best for him to denounce wright.  it's simply deception for any of us to still believe that barack obama didn't know exactly who this guy was the whole time and what he believed.

it's painful for some of you i know, but barack obama is just a politician, not a messiah.  and politicians have one goal in life:  to get elected.  telling the truth is many times a last resort  -- we learned that lesson from the clintons didn't we?

and now that we know this, we can finally admit this election really IS about race...  the race for the presidency and doing whatever it takes to stay in it.
