a brilliant trap

some level headed dems are starting to say that jmac may have laid out a trap for team obambi, and they bit right away including some of the posters on this blog!

what are they harping on?

she’s just a beauty queen.

she’s another dan quayle.

she’s was a mayor of a town of 9,000.

and ironically, the biggest criticism of sarah palin is she has no experience.  amazing coming from the obama camp!

sarah palin is the governor of Alaska, the first woman in that office and the youngest elected in state history. she has an 80-plus percent approval rating. she has turned the state upside down with her reformist zeal and has made enemies of the republican establishment.

and she can talk energy policy, one of the biggest issues facing this country.

is she a gamble?  of course.  but so is barack obama who has himself dismissed experience as a prerequisite for leadership, despite his spot atop the democratic ticket.

listening to obama supporters take to the airwaves to shriek with indignation about her lack of experience is just a little too rich. where were they when obama, 2 years into the senate, announced his candidacy for president?   : crickets :

there’s such anger and hatred spewing forth from the left over this pick, it’s hard to quantify whether most of these attacks are simple misogyny, fear of losing, or perhaps signs of mental illness.

here is just a sampling of insane comments from the kooks at dailykos attacking this decent woman and her family.   and more amping up of a so-called investigation here.  although this has been thoughly debunked here.

are there no decent democrats out there that would say “enough” of this kind of garbage?  is all of this incredulous vitriol of governor palin playing well in the heartland?

all i know is that if the unhinged reaction to jmac’s choice is any indication,  sarah palin is a fine pick.

barracuda: you go girl!

do you hear that sound?

it’s the sound of the air being sucked right out of the obamamessiah’s campaign.  after just a few hours on the “mountaintop”  his campaign is literally yesterday’s news.  this morning jmac chose  gov. sarah palin of alaska (nicknamed “barracuda” on the high school bball team) as his running mate.  she is a reformer, a maverick, a patriot.

a mccain/palin ticket is exactly what the gop needs.   you can go here to read a bio i did on sarah for rightpundits.com.  and team obama?  putting down middle americans again by saying this and more:

“the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.”

since when did the obama camp value experience?  obama’s foreign experience consists of living in indonesia for 4 years and a child and visiting pakistan for 3 weeks in college.

during the entire primary campaign, obambi  kept telling us that his judgment overruled his lack of experience.  but now, all of a suddenly, it doesn’t?  sarah palin has the executive experience that obama lacks.   she has spent her time in politics actually accomplishing reform and challenging the political machine in her own party.  did obama do that? no.  in fact there’s very little evidence that shows obama did much of anything but prepare to run for national office.

for a political machine that values “nuance,” this was a really dumb statement put out by team obambi.  they look petty and childish.  but then we knew that about them didn’t we?

h/t for the nifty mccain/palin button on the top to my cotillion sister, caltechgirl.

UPDATE:  you knew i had to add this!  thanks for the tip lisab!

sweet.

fighting back against bo’s class warfare

this ad is from the sc gop.  it not only defends jmac and his family on the “houses” issue, it jumps obama  for his class warfare antics.  i like it.

team obama’s criticism is that jmac can’t possibly understand the concerns of normal folk because he is just too rich.  this ludacris and flies in the face of the whole concept of the american dream:  coming up from nothing; doing well in this country; prospering.  the dems also seem to ignore the fact that barack obama does pretty well for himself too and that their party’s last nominee had also married a wealthy woman and enjoyed the lifestyle that went with the marriage.

so as mitt romney said when asked how many houses he owns,  ” one less the john kerry.”

miracles in togas

well tonite is bo’s big night.

into a crowd of 80,000 screaming disciples, he will decend from on high unto his temple and perform miracles, signs and wonders for our terrible and broken country.  he will restore our hope and change us from a failed country laying in the gutter of despair to a strong and prosperous place were freedom reigns and the weak and down trodden from all over the world take refuge here.   hey wait…

not only will the faithful be there - those who fainted, adored, swooned, and worked their butts off on his campaign;

but stars and celebrities will be there too.  in fact, here are some words of wisdom from that great patriot spike lee explaining to all of us morons bo’s impact on all of humanity:

ah, such a sage!  did you catch that last line?  no?  well here it is:

“It means that this is a whole new world. I think…I’ve been saying this before. You can divide history. BB Before Barack. AB After Barack.”

seems like i have heard something like that before –  bc (before christ birth) and ad (anno domini or after the birth of christ).

prior to the confetti, beach balls and fireworks that normally end the convention happen, will the obamamessiah give an alter call to the heathen (all of us heretics, unbelieving republicans and other thinking americans) to come into the fold?  count on it.

yawn.

the temple of obama

ok this guy has finally gone off the deep end.  as posted today by fausta, obama may be better suited to run for the presidency of the “United Federation of Planets” than the United States.  has his ego no bounds?  on thursday night bo will accept the nomination of the democrats in front of a fake Greek temple.  here is a pic of the stage:

what goofball obama operative though of this idea?   ah, the same one that concocted vero possumus and the fleeing eagle and the obama salute?  sweet.

we noted in an earlier post that the obama salute was from ’star trek’ well it looks like this set comes straight from one of their more intriguing episodes called , “Who Mourns For Adonis?”  check it out:

here is what that particular episode was about and how some say it relates to obamis er, obama…

“The parallels are interesting, at least. Obama wants to treat us the way Apollo treated the Enterprise crew — as children who need do nothing but gather food and worship him. He promises them peace, tranquility, and happiness, as long as they agree to become his servants and relinquish their free will. In the end, Kirk and his crew destroy his power source and send him off to his fellow demigods in bitterness rather than allow themselves to become enslaved to Apollo.”

well alrighty then.  that says it all doesn’t it?  who knew that team obama were really trekkies.

hillary was right!

it’s pretty remarkable that the woman who used the term “vast right wing conspiracy” would suddenly become our best friend - at least for this campaign season.   LOVE this new mccain ad.  turn up your sound.

REMEMBER:  tonite is hillary’s big night at the convention.  i am sure all the oxygen will be sucked out of the room.  but it will make for great tv i bet.
